    Funding for communities near Heathrow

    Trustees and Grant Review Panel members live and work locally and are supported by the Trust Director and a team at Groundwork South, who draw on their local knowledge and experience to help you submit a strong bid showing the full value of your work. To inform our funding priorities we carry out an annual survey of community groups in the region.

    Grant Review Panels

    Each Grant Programme has a grant Review Panel who carry out the review of applications and advise the Board of trustees on whether or not to award a grant. Each Grant Review Panel is chaired by a Trustee and consists of volunteers from Heathrow Airport Ltd and independent members of the local community. For details of membership see the link below.

    We have four routes to funding for external applicants:

    1. Grants for Projects Young People: projects to raise aspirations, increase resilience or increase employability in children and young people up to age 25

    2. Environment and Sustainability Grants: for projects focussed on the environment and sustainability

    3. Communities Together: Supports projects that will bring communities together or reach isolated members of the community

    4. Development Fund: Supports projects to research needs or carry our environmental or planning assessments.
