Impact Report 2025

Our year in numbers. A snapshot of the people, projects and places supported by Heathrow Community Trust in 2025.

In 2025 we funded 62 community projects across nine boroughs in west London and the Thames Valley. The figures and charts on this page are drawn directly from grantees' final reports and our own application records, together they tell the story of who benefited, where, and how applicants experienced the process.

We've published the full picture, the encouraging numbers and the harder ones, because transparency is part of how we hold ourselves to account.

The Headline Numbers

Behind every grant is a measurable outcome.

The fifteen figures below are aggregated from the final reports of all 62 completed projects in 2025, covering people reached, hours volunteered, schools and businesses involved, and the environmental impact our grantees achieved on the ground.

They represent the breadth of what HCT funding made possible last year.

What Our Grantees Told Us

We ask every funded organisation to share their honest view of working with HCT,  how they found us, how we compare with other funders, and how easy the application and reporting process was.

The responses below come from the 62 grantees who submitted a final report in 2025.

How did you hear about Heathrow Community Trust?

How would you compare HCT to other grant programmes?

How did you find the application process?

How did you find the HCT website and team?

Who We  Reached

In 2025, HCT-funded projects directly involved nearly 47,000 people across nine boroughs.

The three charts below break that figure down by age group, children and young people (0–24), adults (25–64), and older adults (65 and over), and show how the impact was distributed across the boroughs we serve.

Bar widths are comparable within each chart, so you can read the relative scale of each borough's involvement at a glance.

0 - 24's who have directly benefitted, per borough

25 - 64's who have directly benefitted, per borough

Over 65's who have directly benefitted, per borough

Application Outcomes

We received 220 applications in 2025, of which 77 were awarded full grants.

The three charts below show the success rate by borough, the outcome split across our funding programmes and the proportion of applications that did not progress in each borough, a useful counterpart to the success-rate view.

  • Communities - Together Small

  • Communities - Together Large

  • Environment & Sustainability

  • Young People

  • HAPi

MISC (pan-borough) grants are shown as their own bar.

% Success Rate of Applications by Borough

% Success Rate Overall for All Programmes

% Applications Not Progressed (Rejected or Withdrawn)

Source data: HCT 2025 grants register, applicant feedback survey, and grantee final reports for the period 1 January – 31 December 2025. Figures are reported as collected; where a project served more than one borough, beneficiary counts have been split proportionally so per-borough totals reconcile with the grand total.
