Heathrow Community Trust

Heathrow Community Trust was founded in 1996, with one mission:
Enabling Communities to Thrive.
In 2026, as we celebrate our 30th anniversary, our mission remains strong as ever and continues to have a positive impact on the lives of people in the communities surrounding Heathrow Airport.
We do this by funding, enabling and empowering voluntary and community organisations, working in partnership with others, and by supporting employees of Heathrow Airport Ltd to give back.

We are an independent grantmaking charity that receives funding from Heathrow Airport Limited, passenger donations through Leftover Currency, donations from other Team Heathrow airport-based companies and the supply chain, noise fines levied on airlines, and fundraising activities organised by Heathrow colleagues.
Heathrow Community Trust’s vision is to enable local projects which create healthy, happy communities.
Our board of trustees and volunteer Grant Panel members live and work locally and are supported by the CEO and Groundwork South.
Collectively, they draw on their local knowledge and experience to help community groups submit grant applications that detail the value and impact of their work.
To inform our funding priorities, we carry out an annual survey of community groups across the local area.
